Timber of the Past Red Cedar Discovery Threat

A rare red cedar timber, still found in far Northern Queensland, is now scarce in NSW. A virgin scrub stand was found at the head of the Macleay river and cutters are extracting about 100000 feet. One cedar reaches 90 feet to the first limb and could yield 11412 feet of timber.
