Boxing Tournament Lights Up Palais Theatre Crowd
A crowded hall greeted contestants at the boxing tournament on Friday night at the Palais Theatre. The event featured 15 bouts including a bridge fight, with Attunga boys entering confidently and judges headed by the Byrnes brothers delivering swift decisions. Anderson impressed with ring craft defeating Bing, while Kelly outboxed Carey in a high pace bout. The night also saw a towel from Hatch in the Hatch Roach match and Ted Cook scoring the only knockout. Extra trains will run from December 18 to January 1 from Sydney to the country.
