Annual Meeting Report of Manilla Legion Sub Branch
Mr. E Coulton presented the annual report for the year ended June 1951 noting a good year under the group’s policy of sharing with another organization to raise funds. The sub branch ran tea tenders at race meetings, assisted the Scouts Auxiliary, thanked key volunteers, and supported members in need. The branch hosted Anzac Day wreaths, relocated meetings to Coupland’s office, and closed June with a credit balance of £72 10 and about £30 outstanding. Only 25 financial members, a drop from prior years, was disappointing. The meeting mourned patron A R Macleod’s passing. Officers were elected: Patron G E Bowman. President W G Hall. Vice Presidents A E Thrift and T Bowman. Secretary A E Coupland. Treasurer H Coote. Committee Coulton Kent Hindle Wright Yates. Welfare Coulton Hindle Coupland. Hon Auditor G F B Grill.
