Mrs F Pavy reports Eva's Pick, her chestmilt horse, broke a leg at Nevente on Saturday and had to be euthanized. Pavy has returned to Manila after a week at The Carlton. The Manilla Ambulance Ladies Auxiliary hosts Night of Folly at Memorial Hall this Friday August 17 to replace the Ambulance Ball Proceeds aid the Manilla Ambulance fund. Attendees are urged to enjoy the event while supporting the charitable cause.

A public meeting on 24 August seeks support for evening classes at the District Rural School, with the Mayor Ald G F B Grill urging community involvement.
J T Robertson and Company advertise availed supply of galvanised iron roofing. Immediate delivery promised for orders. Local builders and suppliers urged to place inquiries for prompt shipment and carpentry use.
Manilla district hospital invites adult residents to submit full name occupation and address for consideration by the Hospital Commission for vacant board seat. Submissions must arrive by 12 noon August 31 1951. All adults may apply whether or not qualified subscribers. Secretary Wilshire Phenezen and Phenovis sheep drench and small sale listing noted.
Donations of saleable goods or cash are requested for the Ambulance Ladies Auxiliary stalls to be held during Folly at Memorial Hall on Friday August 17.
