Tamworth Barraba Train Service Upgrade Planned
The Manilla Business Men's Association learns from Werris Creek that Railways will replace the goods trailer on the Tamworth to Barraba rail motor with a passenger trailer. An extra car is being overhauled and should be ready in weeks to run. Combined seating will be 93, reducing luggage and winter loads. Travel time may lengthen slightly with earlier returns to Tamworth. Officials expect a return to steam trains in about six months if traffic recovers.
