Manilla Golf Club teed up for new season and events
Manilla Golf Club enters the season with optimism despite dry conditions. A new committee has met thrice to improve the course and program. The annual ball is set for August 16 in Memorial Hall, with 15 new members proposed. A Diggers tournament may be held in September. The club plans regular meetings at the Club House, a new groundsman is to be appointed, and last weekend's four ball event saw Reg Chapman and B O Connell set a course record with 68.
