Manilla Rotary Plans Fund Drives For Boy Scouts
The Manilla Rotary Club votes to run several events to raise funds for Boy Scout equipment and activities in 1954. Manilla Farmers and Settlers Annual Meeting Held
The Manilla branch of the Farmers and Settlers Association held its annual meeting at the Mechanics Institute with 22 members attending. President L. T. Bowman reported on 1953 activities and finances showing a credit balance and £70 in bonds. Officers were elected including Bowman as president and Wilshire as treasurer, while the district council affiliation was voted down. Wilshire was re elected treasurer for his 45th year and noted as a founder member and life member.
