Mangum Court Actions Reported In District Attorney’s Office
Willie J. Davis 50 of Mangum pled guilty and was sentenced to ten years at Oklahoma State Penitentiary McAlester for Forgery In The Second Degree after a prior felony conviction on February 26 1977 at Gulf 1 Service Station Mangum. Francia Burt 22 Mangum faced misdemeanor charges for obtaining cash by bogus check on December 25 1976 at Hobbs Grocery Mangum. Jimmie D. Hurd Mangum charged with obtaining cash and merchandise by bogus check on May 26 1977 at Gulf 1 Doyle R. Avery 49 Mangum was found not guilty by a six member jury of dispensing beer where dancing is permitted.

Economists say U S cotton output could reach 13.5 million bales, easing tight domestic supplies by late October, with similar gains expected overseas as mills increase use in 1977 78.
