Georgia Has Bill to Protect Man

Atlanta reports a Georgia Assembly bill by Glenn of Whitfield aims to protect men from deceptive courtship by women. The measure would void marriages if a wife employs scents cosmetics artificial teeth false hair corsets padding or other deceitful means to wed an unsuspecting male. Glenn says the bill is needed and a favorable report has been ordered.

Largest Florida honey shipment reaches Pensacola from Apalachicola

The steamer Manteo brought a record honey cargo weighing 79,591 pounds to Pensacola from Apalachicola for Boston and New York buyers. The honey fills 186 syrup barrels and comes from cane fields in Louisiana, with J. K. Isabelle and Higgins & Hunter of Apalachicola handling the shipment.
