A young man named O'Brien, recent arrival from the East Coast, died at Oden Ange's home in Manatee County. He had no known relatives besides a brother and was buried in the new cemetery after work on Dr Driscoll's cement pipe project. Commissioners approved the burial expenses and The Record editor will pay the bills.
Fayette New York resident David Parker, who lost a foot at Gettysburg, says Electric Bitters cured his stomach trouble and improved his health. The ad touts Electric Bitters as a grand tonic for the aged and for female weakness, a body builder, and a cure for lame back and weak kidneys, guaranteed by J M Samuel at 50 cents.

Sheriff Wyatt located Railroad Bill in Savannah after he jumped a five hundred dollar bond. Deputy Young traveled to Savannah to return him for confinement at Hotel de Wyatt until trial and sentencing to the camps.
