The community enjoyed a flurry of visits as Whaternians Ann and Mrs. Koo departed for Toronto after a month with Rev. GC McMillan. Clinton Wise came from Van Nuys to visit relatives with Mrs. June Wise. Dozens of friends and relatives gathered for dinners and hospitality, including the Huntsmans, Summers, Gearharts, Kelso family, and many others. Pvt. Jerry Anderson returned from Ft. Twenty five Rebekahs Odd Fellows and families attended a card party Saturday night in the I O O F Hall. Prizes were won by Mrs John Williams high Mrs WW A McCoy low and Mrs Jim Bailey traveling prize. Cliff Stewart claimed high and Larry Walker low for other games. Refreshments followed.
