Delavan is 23 from Glenwood and Marshall 19 from Silver City. Delinquent half taxes reminder for Oct 1 and 30 day campaign expense filing due by Oct 6 with the auditor. County warfare director named to replace Mrs Barton. she succeeds Mrs Gilson.
Area boards held reorganizations Monday evening with new and returning members. Nishna Valley re elected J Frank Durbin to a third term and Anneth Grindle as vice president. new members Byron Sowers and Lynn Costello sworn in. Glenwood district re elected Robert E Honig to a third term. C F Balle sworn in as member for district No 2. A L Malvern welcomed Gorton Axtell and reelected president F A Wortman.
Lyle Junior Courtier of Hastings was fined 15 dollars and costs for failure to stop in the assured clear distance after a collision on Highway 275 north of Glenwood. His car rear ended Gloria R. Clark’s vehicle, causing about 900 dollars damage to Clark and 800 to Courtier. Clark suffered whiplash and leg injuries. another passenger sustained back injuries.
