Spotlight on Malvern Garden Club Marking 50th Year
The Malvern Garden club met October 14 in Malvern Methodist parlors to mark 50 years since its 1925 inception. Twenty two members attended with former active members Ruth Darrah, Helen Bass, Eulalie Hasselquist among guests. fall bouquets decorated the room and corsages were given to Hazel Summers and past presidents. Members shared memories, club history, and notes on community projects from plantings along highway 41 to rose beds near the community building, with Alma Knop and Bernice Bower leading the meeting and tea to follow.
