Humboldt Couple Announce Deana Brewer and Charles McKee Wedding

Mary Lou Durbin Named Ak-Sar-Ben Countess of 1969

Mary Lou Durbin of Omaha joins 15 other Iowa and Nebraska women as countesses of Ak-Sar-Ben. Rehearsals begin for the Kingdom of Quivira coronation on Oct 37 and the Coronation Ball on Oct 18 at Ak-Sar-Ben Coliseum. Durbin, Brownell Talbot and Lindenwood alum, has traveled widely with plans for USC graduate study. Her family roots trace to a farm near Amerson, Iowa.

Boy Scouts Hold Court of Honor in Malvern

On Tuesday night October 7 the Malvern Boy Scouts Webelos Cub Scouts and parents about 60 attended a Court of Honor at the Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. District Commissioner Edel Knight presided assisted by Neighborhood Commissioner Charles McClure. Awards were presented by Knight Robbins Beattie Scheffel Mickelson Kyle Skerritt Chown and Sinner along with many merit badges. Mr Knight showed slides of the National Jamboree in Idaho.
