Henderson Club Hears Sixth Grade Mexico Program
The Henderson Community Club met at the Henderson gymnasium Thursday night. The sixth grade presented a program on Mexico. Mrs. William Scherle showed slides from a Hawaii trip and others taken by Mrs. Dean Edmondson. The next meeting will be December 16.

Henderson area social round up with numerous visitors and birthday celebrations. Home Cafe Reopens After Remodel Week
The Home Cafe reopened Monday after a three day remodel. They served turkey dinner Wednesday. Glenwood guests Percy Rist and Charles Davies joined Mr. and Mrs. Fay Butterfield for Sunday dinner. Mr. and Mrs. Morria Harbor attended card club at Dr. and Mrs. Scheffel’s in Malvern Sunday evening. Mrs. Carl Bolton and Mrs. Harvey Bolton assisted at Macedonia Methodist church cleanup after a furnace blast. The Boltons also attended cottage prayer meetings and services last week. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Bolton visited Des Moines Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hatswell and saw relatives including Mr. and Mrs. Glen Bolton. Hatswells stayed with relatives. Helen Winchester’s daughter Mrs. Thurman Bowen called from Montgomery, Minnesota to report sons Obie and Denny injured in a car wreck but not seriously. The Bowens planned Thanksgiving with town relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Boileau called on aunt Mrs. Bila Hanson in Omaha Sunday and visited Dan Perkins near Council Bluffs. Georgia Goins of Santa Ana California spent several days with Mauda Phillips and friends Henderson. She is visiting her son Judd Wilkinson and family at the Booster station and her sister, Mrs. Ward Burgoin in Omaha.

The Nishna Valley Federated club met at the Rieken home with Mrs T G Rieken and Mrs William Scherle hosting. Joyce Lathrop spoke on sculpture and displayed her works as Rhea Sowers led devotions and the group sang the Federation song Strengthen the Arm of Liberty.

Mills County Board of Supervisors met October 3 1963 following adjournment of September 15 1963.
