Thirty-Niners Christmas Dinner Set for December 7

Malvern Thirty-Niners met at the Community building on November 16 with 23 present for a birthday party. Mildred Bingham celebrated a birthday. Plans for a potluck Christmas dinner on December 7 were made with ham furnished by the Senior Citizens Club. A grab bag was approved for men and women. all seniors are welcome.

Basket Bonanza at Emerson December First

Dorothy Keith and Extension Home Economists from Page and Fremont counties present Basket Bonanza, a craft workshop on coil basketry at the Emerson Community building from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday. The program is the third in the Heritage Arts for Today's Living crafts short course sponsored by Mills County Extension Service, with a $1 materials fee.

Met Arts Fund Drive Opens with Mills County Rep

Virginia Stinard representing Mills County helped launch the Metropolitan Arts Council MAC Membership Drive on November 12 1977. The bi state council serves multiple counties in Iowa and Nebraska as its first full year of operation under a full time staff and a six county advisory board. Robert Knox and Richard Peterson serve on the MAC Executive Committee. Dr. Robert J. Glass presides as board president and outlines MAC’s goal to unite area arts groups and artists.
