Property Tax Plan For District Vocational School Debate
The article argues for a state funded vocational school system serving nine southwest Iowa counties with governance by elected directors. It notes a property tax levy cap of not more than 1 mill, potential additional 1/2 mill, and a bond option up to 10 mills, with regional population shifts affecting tax shares and county participation. Citizens are urged to weigh in with their county boards.
