Town visitors scan the Malvern area with calls at Randerson’s and the Leader office. A big Glenwood Thanksgiving dance at the Armory is announced, with the Lew Beck orchestra. A fire at Clem Drug Store basement is contained. several residents attend church and birth notices, injuries, illness, and thanks.
A group of ladies attended a one o clock luncheon on Thursday in honor of Mrs Harriet Benton Anderson. The intimate friends of the honoree were guests in a small social gathering reflecting local customs and cordial ties.
The Matvich Fire Department and May Seed and Nursery Co of Shenandoah arrange a charity musical at the Malvern Community Buildings on Monday evening November 29 starting at eight. The program features the Jubileee singers and other famed performers to aid the five boys in a benefit fund with admission 26 and 56 cents.
The Baptist Ladies Kensington met at Mrs J B Wilkins home last Thursday afternoon with about thirty ladies present. They enjoyed guessing games and contests followed by a luncheon of escalloped chicken with spaghetti parkerhouse rolls cranberry jelly and coffee. Hostesses were Mrs F C Creanwood Mrs Grant Chamberlain Mrs Harry Brown Mrs Andy Berkheimer and Mrs Wilkins.
Mr and Mrs W E Larison and daughter Eulalie with Dean Summers departed Tuesday in the Larison auto for Fort Myers Florida to spend the winter. They traveled via the eastern route through Chicago.
News arrived Tuesday of the death of W. Clyde Van Horne a former Malvern man at his Milwaukee home after several weeks illness. He fought bravely and friends here had hoped for recovery. His parents Mr and Mrs Fred Van Horne and his brother Walter of Malvern were at his bedside. He died Monday evening November 22. The remains will be brought to Malvern for funeral services at the Pirit'Baptist church.

Tey Chapel marks the seventieth anniversary of its organization with plans for a Sunday celebration. The event, initially set for October 14, proceeded with most program elements as arranged, noting contributions from Br. Tat and others.
