Delinquent personal property taxes for Mills County Iowa dated 1950 remain unpaid. Notice warns that if not paid by November 30 1961 a distress warrant will be issued. Local officials include Glenwood Treasurer F M Robinson and county names.
Emerson M and A Society met November 15 at Mrs. Alice Anderson's home with Mrs. Carolyn Haseall presiding and Mrs. Lala McKee in charge of devotions. A turkey dinner is planned for November 29 and $10 was voted for Christian Home in Council Bluffs and Children's Baptist Home in Lake Villa AL.
Mr and Mrs Ed Marskell visited at the home of Mr and Mrs Conrad Kruse in Silver City Sunday afternoon. Mr and Mrs BE Westenburg left Saturday for a southern vacation joined by their daughter from Minnesota Mrs Joe Landon of Atlantic plans to visit Mia. Homer Connell and Mr Connell were noted this weekend.
Sealed proposals for a classroom addition to Forrest B. Chantry Elementary in Malvern Iowa are due by 5 PM Architect office Council Bluffs or 2 PM at the school on November 24 1961. Four contracts offered General Construction Heating Ventilation Plumbing Electrical with plan deposit 15 and 5 percent bid bond plus 100 percent performance bond. State preference for Iowa products and labor applies.
The Board of Directors of the Community School District Malvern Iowa reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive informalities. Woodfordfyington Secretary notes the meeting on the date.
