Malvern 4-H Poultry Drive Funds Support for Lillian Bradley

Dee to the fact that Lillian Bradley placed second in the state poultry judging contest she is entitled to compete in the national contest in Chicago the last week in November. Funds to send Miss Bradley to Chicago had to be raised locally with Commercial Club of Malvern, Malvern Cold Storage, Wilson Hatchery and Farm Bureau financing the two thirds. This shows cooperative community spirit in Malvern as in years past county agent A I Hyser Dexter L Boehner helped with dairy calf club financing and sending 4 H gifts to Ames short course. Bruce Boehner continued the effort this year and Wilson Hatchery backed 4 H work 100 percent. Mrs Wilson runs a successful poultry enterprise and recently passed an examination entitling her to accredit flocks.
