East Liberty WSCS Hostess Meeting and Social Notes
Mrs. Claude Stephens hosted the East Liberty WSCS with 11 members and guest Mrs. Marion Wilhelm. Florence Wilhelm Jed led the lesson on Peace Justice and Progress. Minutes were read, December meeting invited at Mrs Ora Clay home on 14 with cooperative noon dinner and gift exchange under $1. Irma Hayes and Alma Boeme were supper guests at Billy Burgoin home. Other items note birthday honorees, birthday celebrations, and visits among local families including the Hunts, Parkers, and Swayze.

In John C. Watson's police court last week numerous offenders were fined for speeding and related violations. Names include Peggy Bolander Kenneth Gooch Paul Gewinner David LeRue Brett Anglin Galen Hopkinson Ralph Raine John Warren Aistrope Larry Kaasch Julia Wheeler Mary Templeton Michael McGrath and Lyle Gotobed among others with fines ranging from 10 to 15 dollars. Lyle Gotobed and Martin James Kuecker were bound over to district court on OMVUI charges posting 500 dollar bonds.
