He reports 1945 income of 2,445.20 from sales and prizes, with eight grand championships and three reserve titles in a career marked by extensive club activity and successful cattle holdings.

Hallowe'en Program Holds Big Crowd at Prairie Valley

Prairie Valley School postponed the Hallowe'en program from Oct. 30 to Friday Nov. 1 due to rain. A large crowd attended and enjoyed music on a newly purchased piano, a surprise to pupils and teachers. Refreshments raised 6.25 dollars to aid the school board in funding the project.

Malvern CCCs to Play Atlantic Bears

Malvern CCCs arrange a return game with the Atlantic Bears, a fast semi professional team, for next Sunday November 17. The Bears defeated the locals in the first meeting but Malvern campers have since improved their lineup and playing. The game is scheduled for 2 39 p m.

Dramatic Reading by Mrs Jones at Malvern Church

Mrs Aldrich Mra Roy Jones of Omaha presented a dramatized book at the Presbyterian church in Malvern Saturday titled Spring Comes on Forever. Sponsored by two Social Union groups, the well attended event featured music during intermission by Mise Thledeman and violin by Rev Louis Berks with Mrs I J Donner as pianist. A reception for Mrs Jones followed at Mrs J F Wearls home with committee members and friends present and refreshments served.

Mrs Paul Hicks was taken to Edmundson Hospital in Counc Wits Tuesday and operated on Wednesday morning for gall stone trouble. Formerly of Malvern she has many warm friends here who wish for her speedy recovery.
