Large Attendance at East Liberty Memorial Service
Large crowds attended the East Liberty Memorial observance despite threatening weather. The program featured a Prelude by Joanna Ponton, music from St. John's Lutheran church and a patriotic address by Rev. E LeRoy Pullman. Volunteers prepared flowers for graves, with the American Legion Harry Hammons Post leading the service. A new memorial stone was promised, a foundation poured, and the cemetery looked vibrant with color. Concluding remarks praised Sexton Ora Campbell for upkeep and a registry logged more than 200 visitors.
