Frustrated advice to graduates and a culture of success
The piece recalls family dynamics and respect, with a teen waitress refusing a sale until the buyer affirms it is for his mother. It contrasts masculine pride with affection, then critiques the thin line between self reliance and overwork. It ends with a wish for Fremont Mills graduates to find success and happiness.
