At First Baptist Church in Andersen, Supt Parker and Minister Parker announce Sunday worship at 10 a.m. on the second. midweek choir rehearsals and youth groups meet Wednesday. Mrs. Clara Judd of Los Angeles left Tuesday for Tulsa to visit her son after visiting her twin brother Harmon, who was born in unclear details.
Funeral services for Joshua Stewart Cole were held at the Emerson Methodist church with Rev. Englund presiding. Burial followed in Henderson Cemetery. family, friends, and neighbors attended from Carson, Kirkwood, Monmouth, Yolyn West Virginia, Fort Leonard Wood, Auburn Nebraska, and Des Moines area.
Squair Thomas Haney son of John and Tennessee Haney was born May 28 1891 in Houston Mo. He married Mary and lived much of his life in Emerson where he farmed. He died at Malvern on April 22 aged 68 years 10 months 24 days. He is survived by his wife three brothers and one sister. A Navy ship note follows with Ellison DMS19 from Charleston. Several local residents attended Bible School Clinic in Clarinda and Oakland. Bible School starts in June. Robby Good and Donnie Thurson of Ames visited. Nef Edie F A visited parents for 20 days.
