Clarke R Spencer Dies At Sidney After Illness
Clarke R Spencer died Sunday night April 22 at his Sidney home after a long illness with Bright's disease. Funeral services were held in Sidney on April 24 and in Randolph at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Dickinson, Rev. Lorimer, and Rev. Tinkham officiating. Interment followed in Randolph cemetery with Masonic rites. Born March 13, 1873 in Malvern Iowa, he lived in Randolph then Shenandoah before moving to within 314 miles southeast of Sidney in 1918. He married Grace Lorimer in 1901, leaving two children Paul and Dorothy Faith, his wife, parents, siblings, and extended family.
