Aldrich Bill Courtship of Power Sparks Senate Clash
Washington March 26 The Aldrich currency bill wins exclusive Senate floor time as LaFollette closes a fierce anti trust speech. He denounces the Standard Oil Morgan combine dominance and lists fourteen top operators plus two classes of power brokers, including Vanderbilt, Rockefeller, Frick, Gould, and Harriman, as core leaders. Williams signals intent to filibuster to secure action on labor and farmer measures.
