A major farm machinery sale at Malvern drew a very large regional crowd Monday led by Otha Mass Jr and Wade Rubey. Vehicles from many towns filled the area as buyers eyed equipment, while a Silver City bank worker and several locals celebrated events in the county seat.

Attempted Break In At P J Office Reported By Inspector
An attempted break in at the Ta- Cie division post office was reported after midnight Monday. Three boys who were nearby witnessed a man and woman trying to enter through a rear door as they heard noises. A youth on a motorcycle arrived, the rear of the eyelet lights the pair, and the boys gave investigators a description. One of the suspects was said to carry a buyplayt sack.
