The reflection cites John 15 12 17 urging love as a command then contrasts the misused saying Take what you want with the idea of paying the price to grow in love Jesus paid the cost of faith and love offering it freely to all including the unlovely The prayer asks God to help witness Christ love and endure the personal cost of faith in daily life

Iowa hog price rise linked to multiple factors says Futrell

Gene Futrell, extension economist at Iowa State University, cites several factors behind late January to early February hog price gains. Slaughter fell due to seasonal declines, weather, and poor roads, with federally inspected slaughter dropping from over 19 million to 17 million in late January and 1.5 million in early February before rebounding. He notes packer margins narrowed, a major factor behind the price rise, and cites hog inventory estimates showing higher on farms than a year ago. Futrell projects slaughter to rise through March, keeping prices around 17.50 to 19.50 in March and April, then potentially rising to 21 to 23 by July.
