Lift Restrictions on Contracted Acres for Seed Crops
Recent interpretations from the corn-hog section remove restrictions on harvesting seed from crops grown on contracted acres. Eligible seed crops include timothy red top orchard grass bluegrass meadow fescue brome clover alfalfa sweet clover white clover and similar pasture and meadow crops. Soybeans cowpeas field peas peanuts sorghum and similar grains are excluded from seed harvest on these contracted acres. Releasing these acres for pasture and forage does not turn the crops above into grain.
