Children’s Day at the Presbyterian Church
Children’s Day exercises at the Presbyterian church drew a fair crowd despite threatening weather. A large motto and floral decor framed the service, with Rebecca Brothers honored for years as Sunday school librarian and a gift edition of Tenn yson donated to Sunday school work. The day included a $5 offering for destitute Sunday school work, praise for the primary department, and a solo by Donny Cunningham, though weather dampened some performances. A Methodist program was also held with extensive flowers and a church collection for college works. A Catholic wedding at the same time joined Michael O’Conner and Miss Lucey Dailey, who then traveled to Clark, Nebraska, before settling on a farm near Hastings. The note closes with a Buckeye Liniment testimonial and travel details for Burlington Route excursions to the Black Hills.
