Box Elder funds found in Malvern district merger
A $6150 deposit traced to the Box Elder rural school district was found in Henderson State Savings Bank. The sum, overlooked when Malvern Community district merged with the rural district years ago, remained untouched in the bank. Also featured is a KMA interview with Art Frutcher the Henderson rodeo impresario, plus bantam rooster antics. Dedication ceremonies for Humboldt low rent housing Park View Heights, a 30 unit project, were held June 5 with attendees including Earl Bass James Summers and Max Dashner amid plans for Malvern Village.

Malvern Leader Opens 92nd Volume Amid Historic Ties
The Malvern Leader begins its 92nd annual volume, continuing a long, interrupted weekly series dating back to 1875. Early history notes publisher changes from 1874 onward, with mergers and ownership shifts shaping the paper into the modern operation run by its present editor since 1996. The piece contrasts early hand press methods with today’s auto equipment and reflects on editorials of the era.
