Glenwood Politicos Alarmed by Fifth Column Card Incident
In Glenwood last week townsfolk worried over the appearance of a libelous political card in the county attorney race. The card named an unnamed former county attorney and accused one candidate without identification. Printers whose work was used were suspected until evidence showed the card was printed outside the county. Local officials urged censorship while candidates vowed legal action. The episode sparked talk of dirty politics and speculation of various foreign or sabotage plots, but cooler heads attributed it to a misguided zealot.
