Gloria Durham Weds Wendell Prindle at Malvern Church

Gloria Durham and Wendell Prindle were married in a candlelight ceremony at the First Baptist Church Malvern officiated by Rev Lloyd Bedsworth. The bride wore an organza gown with Chantilly lace train and a tiered veil. Attendants included maid of honor Debbie Durham and best man Charles Prindle. A reception followed in the church basement and a dance featuring the Tom Anderson Country band completed the celebration.

Mills County American Legion and Auxiliary invite members to a potluck supper at 6:30 pm at the Malvern Community building on Monday June 7 followed by a meeting at 7:30 pm. Old and new district officers are invited to attend as the 1977 Membership Drive prepares to begin in July.

The Red Oak Christian Women's Club hosts a June 14 luncheon at 1 p.m. in the Holiday Inn to mark the Bicentennial. World War I Veterans to Meet in Mills County

Veterans of World War One and the Ladies Auxiliary of Mills County Barracks 1337 will gather Sunday June 6 at 1 p.m. in the Mills County Savings and Loan building Glenwood for a potluck and entertainment. A Dedication Program for the New Legion Building is set for June 11 at 10 a.m.

Engaged: LouAnn Adair to Kenneth Squier in July wedding

Mr and Mrs Lawrence Adair of Malvern announce the engagement of their daughter LouAnn to Kenneth Squier son of Mr and Mrs Elmer Squier of Glenwood. LouAnn is a 1975 Malvern High graduate and works at Pearl Vision Center. Kenneth is a 1972 Glenwood High graduate and works for American Beef Packers Inc. A July 3 wedding is planned.
