Mr Walker Miers returned from an extended Newark trip with Sam Ant, both noting work interests. W Baer and Dr Mrs Robert Kassner attended a funeral procession for Mrs Imel, with Imel and Lawrence of Glidden visiting from Standay. Paul Hertz drove from Malvern to Orange, then joined by family in Huron, Mich for a reunion.

Jaycees Upset Camp Boys for First Win in Malvern League

Malvern league action saw the Jaycees upset Camp Boys for their first win Monday night as OCCers slipped to last place. Oilers beat Wallers HT to stay unbeaten in the four team setup, with strong pitching by Bursey and Dunn and a seven run third frame. Thursday’s Oilers-Wallers clash remained bitter, while Jaycees ended Wallers’ hot streak in a midweek tilt.

Ninth Inning Rally Defeats Oilers 6 to 5 at Oakland

Oakland overcame a tied eighth with a two run burst in the ninth. Chub Millikan walked three while two outs were recorded and a pop foul led to the winning run as first baseman Hertz collided with Millikan on the play. Bursey pitched seven strong for Oilers, homers accounting for two Oakland tallies early.
