Mills County Supervisors Settle Bills and Approve Roof Bid

Mills County Board of Supervisors met June 5 1973 at the Glenwood Courthouse with Bass Washburn and Marshall present. Bills across funds include taxes and fees paid to Glenwood State Bank various departments and suppliers. The board adjourned to June 18 to consider a courthouse roof bid later approved from Boone Bros Roofing Inc. for 5868.00.

East Liberty MRS Nell Stone Looney Died in Dallas

East Liberty MRS Nell Stone Looney formerly of East Liberty died July 1 in Dallas Texas after years of declining health. She grew up in the neighborhood, moved to Oklahoma with her parents, married Roy Looney, and later lived on an Arkansas farm near Fayetteville where her husband died. She is survived by six children and several grandchildren. The body was returned to Arkansas for burial.
