Rapid handling of corn-hog signers contracts praised
Signers praise the Agricultural Adjustment Administration for fast processing of corn-hog contracts reaching Washington after local clearance and quota adjustment. The contract records section can process about 40 000 contracts daily seven days a week, with delays mainly from improper signatures and errors in calculating hog production. If these errors were eliminated, 99 percent could be approved without delay. Machines sort 400 cards per minute and run multiplication tables to speed the check writing and disbursing of payments.
