Former Malvernian Found Work Interesting in Africa
Mrs Albert Whiley a farmer and Helen Denner, with Rev Whiley, spoke at the Presbyterian Union meeting at Mrs Teek’s home. They described a leper colony in Africa under British rule where mission efforts built homes, churches, and hospitals. Leprosy patients work monthly and numbers have risen from ten to 900 as aid spreads. The Whileys, former missionaries, shared slides and stories of native experiences and plan to travel to San Francisco for Mrs Whiley’s hospital training.
