Family Night at Hillsdale Church Brings Cold Weather Crowd
In single digit temperatures about 35 people attended Hillsdale Church Monthly Family Night hosted by Wayne Hilton and Bur dette Hunt families. Mrs Phyllis Skerritt shared slides from Oregon Alaska and the Seattle World’s Fair. Rev LeRoy Pullman led a Grace before a cooperative supper. Notables: Art Thieschafer Gary Tamara visited, Albert Chehey hospitalized, Michael Clark ill with mumps, and locals including the Powles Carr and Bower families were guests or callers in nearby towns.

The Mills County Board of Supervisors met December 5 and December 31 1963 with Supervisors Lincoln Evans and McGrew present. Bills were approved for COUNTY GENERAL and various funds, including Blue Cross Glenwood Biase Bank F. M. Robinson and many county officials. A resolution allowed tax supported bodies to use courthouse after hours for a fee. Additional entries cover court expenses state institutions improvement of instruction and BANGS disease funds, with extensive lists of payments to numerous individuals and organizations.
