Boy Scarred by Boiling Water Explosion Near School

Sterling Schurr, son of Mr and Mrs George Schurr, suffered a badly scalded face when a can of boiling water exploded as local boys heated water in coffee cans near a schoolhouse brush burning scene. He arrived just before another blast and was treated at home by his mother as Dr Chaisty was unavailable. Burns were painful but not deep, no lasting scars.
