Malvernians Enter Mercy Hospital For Virus Treatment

Donna Linshner of Malvernians enters Mercy hospital Wednesday with a virus infection. Iowa Plans Medicare Part B Buy In For Aged Aid Recipients

The State Board of Social Welfare approved a plan to let Iowa old age assistance recipients join Medicare Part B starting July 1, 1966, with the state paying the $3 monthly premium. It provides physician services, 100 home health visits, labs, x rays, certain prosthetics, ambulance under specific conditions, and equipment rentals. About 42 percent of recipients also receive Social Security benefits and will be urged to enroll.
