Funeral Rites for Henry Shep herd Lead Large Local Turnout
The funeral for Henry Shepherd was held Sunday at his old Malvern home with a large gathering of friends and neighbors. Rev W J Watson led services, a quartet providing hymns. Shepheard, born 1837 in Kentucky, lived in the region since 1854 and died after a long illness. He married Sarah Johnson in 1857 and left four of seven children living. His widow had died about a year earlier, and the community extended sympathy.
