Golden Wedding Open House for Parker Couple at Wesley Chapel

Spotlight on the Social Scene invites friends to an open house honoring Mr and Mrs Lynn Parker for their golden wedding anniversary at Wesley Chapel church on Sunday March 2 from 2 to 5 pm. The Parkers, lifelong Wesley Chapel residents, have lived on the same farm for 50 years and request no gifts. Their children include Dwight and Ola of Tucson, Nancy of Tucson, Darrel and Eleanore of Davenport, and Mark of Sacramento.

Tabor Masons Honor Munsinger

Joe Munsinger, a 30 year member of the Tabor Voluntary Masonic lodge, received a 30 year pin and life membership from lodge master Larry Gaylord. He joined in 1925, served in many offices, WWI veteran, Wayne State College alum, farmed near Tabor, now in Nishna Cottage Malvern since 1972.

SPORT Program at Underwood High School Joins Education Initiative

The program covers prescription teaching and evaluation techniques with an individualized approach across Kinder through twelve, emphasizing cross-subject integration. It shows high effectiveness in language arts with better results than typical instruction and fits existing programs at low cost. Availability came via the Dissemination Review Panel of the U.S. Office of Education and the Iowa Nebraska Metropolitan Education Program Facilitators. Singing dog to star at Saturday morning musical program

A retired musician who has played with name bands will present a special musical program featuring a singing dog at ten o'clock Saturday morning. The community also valued the Sunday afternoon service at Tabor RLDS Church.

Silver Cloud 4-H Club Meeting Report

Silver Cloud 4-H Club met February 1 at the Methodist church. New members led pledges. Members received project and record book information and paid dues. A bake sale is planned for February 22 at Nancy's Apparel to raise funds for the 4-H United Fund. Refreshments were served by Valerie Dickersbach and Holly Benton.
