Psalm 100 Leads Worship at Malvern Strahan Churches

Spotlight on the Social Scene notes Psalm 100 will lead Sunday worship at Strahan United Methodist at 9 30 a m and Malvern at 11 a m with Pastor Dick Viner welcoming. Psalm 1M from Morningside College conducts youth evangelism programs and is sponsored by the college Religious Life Council. They will perform at services and youth rallies as a nonprofit group. free will offerings cover expenses. Members include John McWhorter Anne Lippincott Jim Sherwood Barb Schelp Phil Heath and Kathi Leeper.

4-H Club Meeting Notes From Malvern Leader

Sliver Creek Go-Getters met Feb 7 at Todd Benton home with 12 members present. Club voted 50 cents per member to United Fund. New member Kurt Zanders joined. Better grooming contest judged by Dan Zanders with multiple award winners in Juniors Intermediates and Seniors. Doug Bass and Bobby Clark presented on table manners. Richard Primrose reported Future Feeders 4-H potluck Jan 11 with Busy Bees at Strahan Methodist church. February meeting held at Roger Shaw home with slide on The Human Machine and Snowmobile Safety talk by Dennis Curtis. Recreation led by Kevin Myers and refreshments served by Mrs. Shaw. Mark Costello, reporter.

Mrs. Ora Osborn returns home from hospital and a new resident, Mrs. Josie Stotts, is welcomed. Mrs. Emma Sheard and Mrs. Nellie Knickerbocker remain hospitalized in Red Oak and Edmundson. Verner Anderson traveled to Red Oak on February 8. A piano program by Miss Ann Beckwith delighted residents. Edwin Myers Ho bart Jackson and Harry Wallace joined Jim Maloney for a trip to Glenwood. Sunday church services were provided by Tabor ALDS on February 8 and Malvern Baptist Church on February 16. Edgar Lake visited relatives in Missouri Sunday.

Day of Prayer March 5 At Baptist Church

World Day of Prayer, observed in 169 countries, is celebrated in Malvern at 2 p.m. Friday March 5 at the Baptist church. The movement, sponsored by Church Women United, links Christian women across continents in a global chain of prayer beginning in the Pacific and moving worldwide.

Desi Kline Named to Peru Dean's List at Penn State

Desi Kline, daughter of Mr and Mrs Eldon Kline of Malvern, was among Penn State College students on the Dean's Honor Roll for Fall Semester 1975 honored at convocation. Honors required a 7.25 grade point. Dr Clyde Barrett, VP for Academic Affairs, presented certificates to honorees.
