Morisch Bower Nuptials In Omaha On February 14

Jean Marie Morisch and LeRoy Gerald Bower were united in marriage at St James Church Omaha in a 2 PM ceremony performed by Father Donald Shane. The couple's parents are Mr and Mrs Albert Hardy of Omaha and Mr and Mrs Ralph Bower of Malvern. The bridal party wore red velvet gowns, and a reception followed at West Reads Flaming Pit Restaurant.

Engagement Announced for Hene Jean Smith and Thomas Miller

Mr and Mrs Harry G Smith of Gain announce the engagement of their daughter Hene Jean to Thomas Marien Miller son of Mr and Mrs Henry Miller Malvern. Hene Jean is a Shenandoah high school graduate in 1968 and Thomas Miller is a Malvern high school graduate in 1966 working at Sonday & Roscoe in Shenandoah. An April wedding is planned. Legion and Auxiliary Hold Joint Meeting in Malvern

The American Legion and Auxiliary met Tuesday night February 17 with a report on a Valentine bake sale deemed successful. Legislation on the Iowa Soldier's Home Marshalltown was reviewed and Malvern was named host for the County Meeting on March 17 with committees for refreshments decoration and program.

Martha Circle of the Methodist WSCS met Monday evening at Dixie Benton’s home with 14 members present. Hostesses Lorraine Dashner and Bonnie Mansfield served refreshments and social time followed. Cleta Salyers led the lesson on Racial Prejudices. next meeting March 16 will be with Bettie Campbell and guests are asked to wear a scarf.

Ruth Circle Meeting Minutes February 12

Ruth Circle met February 12 with hostess Mrs. Ruth Adking and co hosts Mrs. Debbie Shepard and Mrs. Glen Dalrympie. The program Tomorrow's Trees by Mrs. Kenneth Scott included thoughts on Washington Lincoln and Valentine's Day. A review of 28 Christmas boxes and gifts was given. Refreshments were served and the group enjoyed visiting.

Eastern Star Silver Urn Chapter Plans School of Instruction

OES Silver Urn Chapter No. 168 meets February 17 to finalize plans for the School of Instruction on February 21 at 12 30 p.m. and inspection at 7 30 p.m. A buffet dinner is set for 5 to 6 30 p.m. in the Masonic Temple downstairs for 175. Reservations with Mrs Burdelle Spiker by February 19. ESTARL emphasis and a special collection will occur at inspection. Social hour and refreshments followed.

Baptist Deborah Society Met Discusses Parsonage Work

The Baptist Deborah Society met February 11 with Mrs. Darrell Frederickson. Members discussed current parsonage work and voted to contribute to the Repair Fund. They set Wednesday April 29 as the probable date for the Annual Mother Daughter Banquet with the theme The Dawning of the Age. Committees for menu decorating and program were named by president Mrs Stan Waller. After adjournment refreshments were served and the afternoon spent visiting.
