Light Snow Quick to Melt Predicts Early Spring
From Randolph Enterprise, a reflective note on lingering spring in flux as last night’s light snow fades under bright sun. The author ponders the shifting season while recalling seven goldfish guests from a neighbor, seven small fish and one blue, living in a decorative bowl.
The Malvern Leader fish Ob outwits the feeder
In a Malvern Leader humorous vignette, a blue fish named Ob defies feeding time, shuns artificial respiration after a near choking incident, and resumes defiant swimming, even to the extent of snagging grass spears from the bowl. The narrator grows fond of the stubborn pet despite plans to relocate him.
