Union Revival Progressing at Methodist Church

Silver Grange Held February Meeting with New Officers

Silver Grange met in regular session on Thursday February 1 at their hall in Helfour with about seventy five members present. A luncheon was served before business. One new officer was installed and six candidates for admission were given the first two degrees. New membership applications were received. An program followed featuring music by Meesra Parker Sawyers Culver and Chambers. The next meeting will be February 15 an all day session with dinner at noon.

L. T. N. Club Meeting at Mrs Swain's Home

The L. T. N. Club met Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. J. N. Swain with Mrs. Swain and Mrs. I. J. Swain as hostesses. Arvilla Benton repeated the first lesson of the Five Months Clothing Project on alteration of commercial patterns for the Farm Bureau. Eight women attended and refreshments of sandwiches salad pickles and coffee were served.

Mrs Dunn celebrates 70th birthday with surprise dinner

Mrs. John Dunn reached age 70 on Sunday February 4. Mr. and Mrs. Q. E. Bunker organized a dinner with Mike Dunn and wife and Wiley Dunn and family. Guests presented a small monetary gift and Alvin C. Dunn of Spirit Lake sent a check, making it the nicest birthday.

About forty friends gathered Wednesday evening at Fred Cunningham's home to celebrate his birthday. After an oyster supper, guests enjoyed games and a good time. The group extends best wishes for many more happy birthdays.

Death of Mrs Cowperthwaite in Malvern

Mrs H W Cowperthwaite died Monday evening at her son Harry Landis’s home in Malvern after prolonged illness. Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at Mr Landis’s home. Further particulars will be provided next week.
