Emerson Postmaster Reappointed For Another Term

Mary B. Gibson of Emerson is reappointed postmaster after receiving her commission on Saturday. The Emerson high school declamations contest was held Tuesday evening January 28 in the gymnasium, with winners named in oratorical and dramatic events. Lucille White won second in one act, while Bernice Steiner led the debaters. A note recalls a separate birth and congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Whisler on February 6, 1930. An amusing aside jokes about thieves fleeing with lingerie and a local investigator who studied children preferring movies to school books.
