Malvern May Scrutinize School Bond Plans for Federal Aid

Editorial urges Malvern taxpayers to consider a new high school as existing bonds cap at 35 000, suggesting a federal grant could keep costs low. It argues a modest, well-equipped building suffices, notes current equipment and community needs, and calls for thoughtful action within years. It critiques urban flight and Iowa’s agricultural underpinnings, proposing federal support as aid. It mentions a booklet on Inland Empire growth and comments on education, economy, and opportunity. It also notes the Duke of Windsor’s Vienna ear specialist and a quip about Prime Minister Baldwin from Springfield Union.
