Mr and Mrs Marion Wilhelm will mark their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house at the Malvern Community building on Sunday Feb 15 from 2 to 5 pm inviting relatives and friends. They were wed Feb 16 1927 and have a daughter Mrs Merle McCunn of Red Oak a son Eugene of Wichita nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He retired after 16 years with Mills county road department. They request no gifts.

Quilting Program At Courtesy Room At State Bank
Thirty women attended a quilting demonstration Tuesday afternoon in the Oilenwood State Bank Courtesy Room. Lorraine Sapikowski and Helen Sibasik of Omaha led the program sponsored by Iowa Western Community College. Judy Nuding won the door prize donated by Keleher Pharmacy. A Feb 14 class on consumer education will be at Mills County State Bank Courtesy Room. Avery will present a program on drying foods by Margaret Bessette from Omaha. Legion Aux Harry Hammons Unit Meets in Malvern
Harry Hammons Unit 520 of the American Legion Auxiliary met at Malvern Village Lounge on January 27 at 9 30 with president Mae Robinson and eight other members present. Officers and members discussed fund raiser plans for March 12 at Larrys Hardware and a $2 donation from each member. A note was sent to Gladys Evans in Jennie Edmundson hospital. Virginia Hall delivered Grant Chamberlain's flag for the Legion Avenue of Flags at the cemetery. Treasurer Mildred Hardy reported finances.
